Annual report- 2012

In November 2012, Amaan Training Center has become the first internationally UK-certified

training center specialized in childcare in Egypt. Being Pearson-certified, Amaan Training

Center is authorized to offer Egypt’s first internationally-accredited vocational qualification

in childcare: “BTEC Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Promoting Children’s Development,” the

first of its kind in Egypt.

Annual report- 2013

Wataneya Society cooperated with Ministry of Social Solidarity, Unicef, Save the Children

and other institutions aiming to unify the quality standards for alternative care in order to

issue a ministerial decree to mandate the quality standards.

Annual report - 2014

In that year, Wataneya met a number of institutional homes to review means of

cooperation for finalizing the national quality standards for children raised without

parental care. Moreover, Wataneya signed momederm of understanding with 4

institutional homes to experiment the standards and implement it. In June, 2014, Ministry

of Social Solidarity issued a ministerial decree to mandate the quality standards.

Annual report -2015

Wataneya Society finalized 1 st phase of Sanad project that aims to empower 10

institutional homes to implement the quality standards of alternative care. Wataneya also

launched Beit el Helm Award for the best institutional homes in Egypt that provides

quality of life for children without parental care.
