"Kayan" team won the first place among the best ideas for participation in the annual Nitros competition organized by the Giza Foundation with the support of Drosos foundation. This year, Wataniya participated in the annual Nitros competition in order to find solutions to empower orphaned youth economically and socially. The competition lasted for a month, during which the participating teams received training in design thinking, business model, and other trainings that qualify them to transform their idea into sustainable projects. 14 contestants participated in the track of “orphan youth empowerment”
Kayan team consists of 4 young orphans "Naglaa Fathi, Wajih Jamal, Marwa Osama, and Faten Walid". The idea is a mobile application that aims to build a support network for youth and workers in care homes.
