Reviving Hearts Born to Defend the Cause of Children and Youth Deprived of Parental Care

September 2022

We are thrilled to announce Wataneya participation with an article in "ICB Journal" an international academic journal under Udayan Care and Sage Journal, to discuss the state of care of children in institutional and alternative care.

The article is written by Yasmine Elhagry- Wataneya Executive Director & Manar Nada- Sr. Specialist Scientific Research Unit at Wataneya, and it highlights the story of two inspiring young ladies who were raised in care-homes in Cairo  ,and that despite the difficulties they faced as they grew up, they came across Wataneya Society and its program: "The Youth Forum", which revived hope in their hearts to advocate for the cause of children and youth without parental care in Egypt
