Senior Child Care & Protection Expert

Yosr holds a Master degree in Education from the American University in Cairo, and she completed diplomas in Instruction and Curriculum Design from Cairo University. She also took courses in the care and protection of vulnerable children, UN Guidelines for Alternative Care and Deep Active Learning. She has taught for many years at schools, universities and civil society organizations and designed and delivered numerous teacher and caregiver preparation programs. Moreover, she has been volunteering for over thirty years in a number of organizations, and participated in designing and teaching character education and life skills programs. Those contributions instilled in her the passion to work in the development field, and this passion grew even more since she started working at Wataneya Society where she was impressed by the professionalism, dedication and the mission that aims at impacting an important sector of the society, namely children; especially those without parental care. For ten years, she has participated in the design and delivery of child care and protection programs that aim at qualifying caregivers of children without parental care, alternative families and all workers in the alternative care sector. Her work at Wataneya has now developed to also include providing consultations and services to all stakeholders in the field.
