Wataneya, in partnership with the “Regional Network for Social Responsibility” and the “Global Center for Sustainable Development,” organized “Social Responsibility and its Impact on Qualifying Orphans for Independence and Achieving Sustainable Development,”.
The workshop was held under the auspices and support of “The Chair of Her Royal Highness Princess Al-Jawhara Bint Ibrahim Al-Brahim to build human capacities in institutions caring for orphans in the Arab countries”. The workshop attended by workers from several stakeholders in alternative care, such as care homes, civil society organizations, volunteers, and CSR of private sector.
This training was provided by, Yasmine Al-Hajri, Executive Director Wataneya, Dr. Mustafa Hanafi, Senior Academic Specialist at Wataneya Society, and Nahla El-Nemr, Ambassador of the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity to supervise orphanages.
The workshop reviewed the concept of alternative care, the needs of children and youth without alternative care, and the role of social responsibility towards them, whether from individuals, private companies, or civil society
